On Aqa Husain (SA) Chehlum night, Syedi
Mazoon Saheb arrived in Husaini masjid for waaz mubarak
after Maghrib Isha namaaz in Fatemi Masjid and ziarat
in Rozat Tahera. The waaz started at around 9-30 p.m.
and ended at around 1-15 a.m. Through out the waaz there
was constant matam and bukaa of Maulana Husain (SA).
Syedi Mazoon Saheb did bayaan about
7 tawjeeh of the name of Imam Husain (SA). Imam Husain's
name which is a name from the names of jannat encompasses
many meanings. A glimpse of those meanings was given
by Syedi Mazoon Saheb from the bayaan of Syedna Taher
Saifuddin (RA). This is one name which Syedi Mazoon
Saheb said that each and every mumin child knows. Children
understand what they can from the waaz depending on
their age, but, when they hear Husain Imam's name they
all know that it is time for matam of shaheede karbala.
Husain Imam's name encompasses the zikar of prior adwaar
and what is to come.
The last 'wajeh' (chapter) was that
Dai is also Husaini. We often refer to Maulana TUS as
'Dai-l Imam-il Husain'. It is a great hikmat that the
Dai keeps the dawat alive through the unforgettable
zikar of Imam Husain (SA). It is because of our ma'refat
of Husaini Imam and his Dai that our matam and tears
are 'qabool' (rewarded for by God) while others' matam
is not. As our rozas and namaaz are qabool in Ramazan
while others' roza and namaaz are not, we are fortunate
that our matam and tears are qabool and we get 8 jannats
for each tear. Taking the wasila of Husain Imam (SA),
Mazoon Mola did doa for the umar darazi for Huzurala
TUS until the day of qiyamat.
Mazoon Mola also did zikar of the azaab
that befell those who participated in the campaign against
Husain Imam (SA). Even those who did not fight but added
to the numbers of the enemies of Imam Husain (SA) were
punished here, in dunya, and their punishment in aakherat
is far greater.
Syedi Mazoon Saheb then prayed this
quranic ayat: "wa ta'awanu ala al-birr wal taqwa
wa la ta'awanu ala al-ithme wal udwaan' (Surat 5, Ayat
2). The ayat says that 'cooperate for birr (bhalaay,
khair nu kaam, good deeds) and taqwa. Do not cooperate
for gunah and dushmani. There are those who carry out
notorious activities and claim that we are doing this
for 'good' but their intent is evil. In Syedna Abdul
Qadir Najmuddin's time, Syedna Abdul Husain Husamuddin
was Mazoon-e-dawat. In waaz he condemmed a notorious
group that called it self the "hilful fazai'l"
(the alliance of good virtues); but Syedna Husamuddin,
then in the rutba of Mazoon, said that these people
under the name of good virtues are turning people away
from their true aqida and belief, and that they are
not "hilful fazail" but rather "'hilf
ul fuzool" (the alliance of 'fuzool' [nonsence]).
Syedi Mazoon Saheb emphasized that it is our duty to
abide by the misaq and to fear only Allah TA and his
wali, the Imam and his Dai.
The bayan ended by pur riqqat shahadat
of Ehle Bayt and Imam Husain (SA). Mazoon Mola said
that when Ibrahim Nabi was asked to sacrifice his son
Ismail and he laid him for zabihat, Khuda Taala sent
a 'kabsh' (sheep) with Jibraeel to be sacrificed instead;
whereas the grandson of our Rasool, Husain Imam, was
slain in Karbala. Rasulullah (SAW) has said that whoever
sheds a tear in remembrance of Husain Imam (SA) will
enter jannat, Rasulullah (SAW) will hold the men's hands
and lead them into jannat and Moulatuna Fatema (SA)
will hold the women's hands. It was already 'nisful
layl' (midnight) time and Syedi Mazoon Saheb tus said
that at this mubarak time of night, on the occasion
of chehlum, let us take Husain Imam (SA) wasila and
ask for all that our hearts desire, Husain Imam (SA)
is dataar (greatly benevolent). Mazoon Mola tus then
did sajda on the takhat. Mumineen then continued to
do matam and thronged to get sharaf of qadambosi of
Syedi Mazoon Saheb while he was in sajda.
Many mumineen did araz that this year
we did Ashara with Huzurala (TUS) and Chehlum with his
Mazoon (TUS). It is impossible to describe the flow
of barakat, ilm and hikmat and the josh, jazbaat and
adaa of Syedi Mazoon Saheb's bayaan. Those who witnessed
this night will remember it in dunya for their lifetime
and receive its sawab in the hereafter.
